Richmond Drama School

Richmond Drama School strives to educate and inspire students who want to enter the performing arts industry or continue onto further education. The Drama School includes tutoring in areas such as Text work, Voice, Physical Theatre (Lecoq based), Film and TV work, preparation and presentation of Audition material, sight reading, stage combat, dancing in various styles, and movement. (These aspects may vary each year).

Richmond Drama School courses stands out due to the exceptional teachers, our talented students and the creative collaboration between the two. 

A high number of our students go on to Degree Courses at leading Drama Schools - recently to LAMDA, East 15, Arts Ed, Drama Centre, Italia Conti, Oxford School of Drama, Drama Studio London and The Poor School as well as to other courses such as Drama at Kingston University and Creative Writing at Roehampton University. Others seek to go straight into all areas of activity undertaken by actors and actresses.

Additionally, many of our students have worked in film or television, in the theatre and in touring companies. Students on our Foundation and Access courses will enjoy the opportunity to participate in a range of public performances both at the college and at external venues. Our popular evening and short courses, which includea range of disciplines such as Stand-up Comedy and Drama Improvisation, are available throughout the year, including summer schools in Acting. These short courses change from term to term, so please see course listings for the most up-to-date information.
