RHACC drama alumni put audience into hysterics with their outrageously funny play – A Spy in the Ointment!

Audiences were in stitches on Thursday evening as our Drama School staff and alumni performed a comedy play written by our very own Drama Tutor, Dean Allen and international voice coach Robin Kermode.

A Spy in the Ointment, a two part play written by Dean and Robin in 1986, follows the confusion of a M15 exchange of agents and the head of M15s marital therapy session. It was full of innuendo and side-splitting one liners that bought smiles to the audience in our beautiful Queen Charlotte Theatre.

Dean said about the evening; “It was a fantastic night: we sold out, the cast were magnificent and so were the audience. It was so good to see the play doing what it was written for - to give everyone a goodnight out. I'm really looking forward to our next Portcullis/ Richmond Drama School production; The Panto - with a difference!”.

We are renowned for our vibrant and diverse range of courses but don't forget our buzzing events scene too. Keep up to date with what’s on here by visiting www.rhacc.ac.uk/events. Many events are free to attend or organised like this one to raise money for the Portcullis Trust charity.
