Learning Support

If you have a learning difficulty or disability, we can provide you with learning support.

Support provided may include:

  • One-to-one English and Maths tutorials or workshop support
  • In-class support - note taker, reader, scribe
  • Communicator/Signer
  • Special exam arrangements - extra time, rest breaks etc. if appropriate evidence is supplied within the first four weeks of the course start date
  • Specialist software/equipment

Please let us know the details of your needs when you enrol, or speak to your course tutor and ask to be referred to Learning Support. Support is provided after discussion and assessment of your needs in a one-to-one interview with our Learning Support Co-ordinator.

Learners on Higher Education Courses should apply for the Disabled Student Allowance (DSA). Please apply for this as soon as possible to allow processing time.
For further information and to check eligibility contact Jenny Lawrence, Additional Learning Support on 020 8891 5907 ext. 5032 or email jenny.lawrence@racc.ac.uk

Please note, if you have complex needs or require specialist equipment, we will need reasonable notice before the start of your course.
