International students

We have been welcoming international students to Richmond Adult Community College for over 40 years. We offer International Packages for Tier 4 students and for visitors on Student Visas. Our courses are fully accredited by the British Council and we maintain our Highly Trusted Sponsor status (HTS) with the UK Home Office. Joining the College

If you would like to come and study with us, please follow these simple steps:

Step 1

Check with the UK Border Agency (UKBA) what kind of visa you need. A quick guide can be found on their website: http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/visas-immigration/studying/quick-guide/

Step 2

Email us to tell us your requirements international@racc.ac.uk

Step 3

Scan and send us any certificates you already have from Cambridge English Language or similar courses, or any evidence you have of previous assessments. Please note that when you join our programme you will need to provide the original evidence and complete an online computer assessment and a writing assessment so we can be sure you are on the right level of course for you.

If you have no certificates or evidence of previous assessments and you don’t know what your current level of English is you can take this simple online test to give you an idea and tell us the result:
http://www.cambridgeenglish.org/test-your-english/adult-learners/

Step 4

We will then contact you to discuss a suitable programme and price.

We will require a deposit/administration fee of £450.00 for Tier 4 visa applications, this fee will incluide all administration support you need during your studies with us. We will issue the timetable, enrol you on our college system, register you with the Home Office and issue the CAS number, write and issue the college official letter you need to apply for your T4 student visa. If you are not successful with your visa application, £300.00 will be returned to you if no other administration fees or administration evidence is requested from us by you. Please note that if we have to re-issue another letter, change your enrolment, CAS with the Home Office and wait for you to join classes that have already started the college will keep the administration fee in full and no refund will be given.

Please note: we only provide CAS for Tier 4 student visas. We cannot offer advice and guidance on visa applications or asylum applications.
