Unlocking Talent. Fulfilling Potential.

College Helps 16-19’s Unlock Their Potential

Date:
18 December 2009

Helping 16 – 19 year olds unlock their career potential is one of the key aims of the latest range of courses being offered by RACC (Richmond Adult Community College).

The College has just published its Spring 2010 Qualifications Guide featuring a comprehensive programme of full and part-time, vocational and academic learning opportunities at its two centres at Parkshot, Richmond and Clifden, Twickenham.

Those moving on from school can choose from a variety of free courses designed to help them gain skills that will enhance their job prospects.

An exciting addition to the curriculum is the range of new vocational courses on offer to school leavers.  There are opportunities to acquire or improve skills in office practice, health and social care, basic horticulture, or multi-media.  Alongside all these options, they can work at raising their literacy and numeracy levels.

In addition there is a range of GCSEs, BTEC First Diplomas, or Access to Higher Education Diplomas, which will prepare students for study in further or higher education.

For adults too, there is an extensive range of courses offering numerous opportunities to acquire new skills, or upgrade existing ones, to help them further their careers.

Courses start in January and run through to April. The Guide is available to download from the College’s website – www.racc.ac.uk – or either the Parkshot or Twickenham centres.
