Bank Learning Support Workers

 

Hours: Variable

Contract Type: Fixed Term


We are looking for Bank Learning Support Workers to support learners with a range of disabilities or learning difficulties across the college. Duties will include supporting learners on their learning programme by maintaining their goals and targets, assisting with personal care, social interaction, reinforcing tutor instructions and to actively monitor the health and safety of learners.


Hours are variable including evenings and weekends and are term time only.

Applicants should have a level 2 in English and Maths (or equivalent), experience of supporting learners with disabilities or learning difficulties as well as a developed understanding of Safeguarding and Equality and diversity.

GCSE English Tutor (Part-time)

Programme Leader – Business Studies and Administration

Hours: 37 hpw

Contract Type: Permanent


Reporting to the Head of School, as a Programme Leader you will use your specialist knowledge to manage the Business Studies and Administration provision, drawing on feedback from the community, tutors and learners to develop the programme and increase learner numbers. You will be responsible for providing supportive management to tutors within the subject area, teaching a maximum of 740 hours per year. You will lead by example in the implementation of ILT, Equality and Diversity, Safeguarding and embedding English and Maths in Vocational subjects as well as inspiring best practice teaching.


You should have a broad range of teaching experience on courses such as Access to Higher Education and GCSE Business as well as offering tutorial support to learners. You should also have experience of course planning and management including internal verification.


Applicants should have a professional teaching qualification, a degree (or equivalent), experience of managing staff and an excellent teaching record with evidence of CPD and a passion for facilitating learning.

Physics Tutor – Part Time

We are looking for a Physics Tutor to teach on an Access to HE (Science) Course. You must have experience of working at Level 3 and in particular on Access programmes.
 
Part of this role will include preparing learners for examinations and liaising with the 14-19 Coordinator and subject tutors to help support a co-ordinated programme for the learners.
 
Applicants should have a full teaching qualification or be working towards one.
 
The courses will run from September 2014 to June 2015, term time only, primarily day time slots Monday to Friday –based at our Parkshot Centre site.

We are looking for GCSE tutors to teach a 16 – 18 cohort on GCSE Science and GCSE Environmental Science courses. The courses will run from September 2014 to June 2015, term time only, Monday to Friday, primarily during the day time. This role will be based at our Parkshot Centre site.
 
Part of this role will include preparing learners for examinations and liaising with the 14-19 Coordinator and subject tutors to help support a co-ordinated programme for the learners.
 
Applicants should have a full teaching qualification, plus experience of delivering GCSE syllabuses, both HT and FT, to a 14-19 cohort. It would be advantageous if you had previously delivered your specialist subject over one academic year; as an intensive course

Director of Quality

RACC has an exciting year ahead with the opening of our landmark building at our Parkshot (Richmond) site that will support the College as a hub of excellence for adult learning. We design and deliver courses in the most appropriate way to meet the needs, interests and abilities of both adults and young people who wish to learn in an adult environment.

As Director of Quality you will be responsible for promoting a quality improvement agenda which sets high expectations and develops outstanding performance across the college. Duties will include setting up systems to identify underperformance from specific learner groups, leading on the production of the annual SAR and QIP, driving the learner engagement process, analysing curriculum performance using key performance indicators and taking the lead on quality awards.

The successful candidate should have a teaching qualification, relevant degree, experience of successfully leading quality improvement in an education setting, collecting and analysing data to inform improvements and leading on Ofsted inspections. You will need excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to prioritise and manage a busy workload, advanced report writing and IT skills along with the ability to analyse complex data.
