Movie Magic - A Concert of Film Music

Where: Queen Charlotte Hall, Parkshot, Richmond TW9 2RE

When: Thursday 22nd October, from 7:30pm till 9:00pm

Timings: 7.30pm - doors open at 7pm

Ticket price range: £10 - advance via (£12 on the door). £8 - concessions and RACC students. FREE for under 16s

The Kew wind orchestra has put together a 'Movie Magic' show involving popular music scores.

Music Works taster session

Timings: 9.30am - 12.30pm

If you would like to make music with other people but your opportunities are limited – perhaps because of illness, disability, incapacity or isolation then Music Works could be for you.

Music works is an open interactive group specially aimed at people who would otherwise find it difficult to access group music making.  Music specialists Nordoff Robbins are setting up a regular and accessible and inclusive music group for RACC learners starting in November.

Come along to our taster to meet the staff and find out more. No previous musical experience is required.

Stepping Stones to Wellbeing through Film (A creative workshop)

Where: RACC, Parkshot, Richmond, Surrey, TW9 2RE

Timings: 11am to 12:30pm

Take part in this creative workshop about making a film and the benefits of adult learning.


Ex RACC Student Liz Sokoski will be producing and directing a film about the benefits of adult learning using her own experiences and those who are part of the RACC mental health and wellbeing project (, filming will start in February and will make links with the NHS '5 ways to wellbeing'. This exciting film will focus on visual and performing arts activities and the positive impact that adult learning has made on individuals lives.

Turkish Belly Dancing taster

Come along to this FREE Turkish Belly Dancing taster event. As well as a highly fascinating and traditional cultural Turkish dance art, Belly Dancing is a great way to be active and enhance wellbeing.


This taster event will provide an opportunity to try out Turkish Belly Dancing in a friendly, relaxed and social environment using Richmond Adult Community College's excellent facilities.

North Korea Uncovered: Propaganda and the Cult of the Kim

A rare opportunity to hear from someone who has infiltrated North Korea's borders and observed life in the isolationist dictatorial regime.  Jeremy Hunter is a sought-after speaker who has graced West End theatres to share his North Korean experiences - including an entertaining array of physical props and multimedia exhibits.
