Bursary Information

At Richmond Adult College we offer students funding support through bursaries.

The bursary offers financial help in addition to student loans and grants – the money does not have to be paid back.

What is a bursary?

The bursary fund is available to help learners pay eligible qualification course fees.

It can also help learners with:

  • Travel to and from college
  • Essential materials
  • Childcare costs

Learners awarded a tuition fee bursary will receive up to 50% off the course fees paid for them.

The decision to award a bursary is made by the College and are normally notified within 5 days of the application being received.

Only one hardship tuition fee bursary can be awarded for each learner per academic year.

Who is the bursary fund here to help?

The fund is limited and is available to assist those learners who are in difficult financial circumstances and who have a low household income.

The bursary is not a loan from the college and therefore does not require repayment.

Bursary criteria:

Your total household is below £23,000 a year
