What is RACC?

.
RACC is a general further education college principally providing education and training for adults and employers.  This means we provide a mature environment where you will mix with a wide range of other students who could be 16 – 18 but might also be a little older. We believe that this helps provide the college with a great atmosphere.

What type of courses do we offer?
We offer a wide range of subjects in both vocational and academic education from Art & Design to ICT to English and Maths.  For 16 – 18’s we offer two main programmes of study. These qualification courses are all free for learners aged 16-18 on 31.8.09.

•    GCSE’s
•    BTEC First Diplomas

This means that you can take up to 5 GCSE’s or a  BTEC First Diploma. (equivalent to 5 GCSE’s).over one academic year (September to June).  We offer regular tutorial time to all 16-18 year olds on qualification courses to help them with their studies.

For 19+’s we have the additional option of a wide range of  Access Courses and BTEC Foundation Diplomas in Art & Design  to enable successful students to progress to Higher Education.

How do I apply for a place?

You will need to attend an advice and guidance session before the course begins so that you are aware of all the requirements of the course.  Your level of English and Maths will also be assessed to ensure you are placed on the right course and you will meet some of your possible tutors.

Contact Student Advice & Support to arrange a date and time as soon as possible as places for 16-18 year olds may be limited.

What facilities do we have?

We have two colleges with state of the art facilities including computer suites, drama studios etc. We also have a canteen area and learning centres which students can use all the time.   There is a crèche facility at our Clifden site in Twickenham (limited spaces)
